The third edition of the annual Green Schools Programme (GSP) climate quiz, The Bout, saw over 35 student teams compete for the title of the Climate Champions 2025. The quiz was a part of the GSP Carnival & Awards Ceremony, held at the Stein Auditorium of the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on February 4, 2025. Upamanyu Das and Rajat Ghai from CSE presided over the event as climate experts. As experienced professionals in the field, they provided valuable insights and pitched in with detailed explanations about a few complex environmental issues during the quiz to spark children’s curiosity and interest in climate-related topics. Their expert inputs added depth and clarity, ensuring that students not only answered questions but also understood the broader implications of climate change.
Launched three years ago, the GSP climate quiz yet again received an enthusiastic response from students from GSP network schools across the country. The main round tested students with a variety of question types – image-based, fact or myth, fill in the blank, MCQs and more! The final moments of the competition were particularly thrilling, as four teams tied for the top positions, leading to an exciting and nail-biting tiebreaker segment. Two intense rounds of tiebreaker questions ultimately decided the top three winning teams, who were then officially declared the GSP Climate Champions 2025:
