The movement towards a cleaner environment got a huge push recently when the Irish Parliament passed a bill that would make Ireland world's first country to fully divest public money from fossil fuels. This means that the Irish taxpayers' money will not be invested in fossil fuels, which are responsible for the increase in global temperatures. When the bill becomes a law, the country will gradually stop investing in coal, oil and gas. It will then use the money to invest in clean energy instead.
