Highlights from GSP Carnival 2026

Eco-musicals, comic creativity, bold green ideas, and joyful activities—students leading the way for a better planet.

The Green Pitch witnessed an inspiring showcase of innovation, confidence and environmental commitment from young change-makers across the country. Student teams from Grades 6 to 10 presented bold and practical sustainability solutions, impressing the jury with their originality, feasibility, and clarity. After an engaging round of pitches and Q&A, the first prize went to Delhi Public School, Raj Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad. The second prize was a tie between the Doon Valley Public School, Nalagarh, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, and the Queen’s Valley School, New Delhi.

The winning teams were felicitated at the awards ceremony and received GSP goodies, while all participants were awarded certificates of recognition.


 First Prize was awarded to the team from Delhi Public School, Raj Nagar Extension, Morta, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

 

Nature in Frames: An environmental superhero comic strip contest at the GSP carnival 2026, saw students across put on their creative hats to create their own environmental superhero comics. The participants impressed the jury with comic strips that displayed originality, thoughtful storytelling, creative expression, and artistic flair. The top three winners are as follows.

  • First Prize: Ikshit Kumar, Grade 9, Little Flowers Public Sr. Sec. School, Shahdara, Delhi.
  • Second Prize: Dia Taorem, Grade 8, Delhi Public School, R.N. Extension, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
  • Third Prize: Advik Gupta, Grade 6, The Manthan School, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.


First Prize went to Ikshit Kumar (Grade 9) from Little Flowers Public Sr. Sec. School, Shahdara, Delhi.

 

Echoes of Change: A Young Environmentalist Musical Challenge for the Environment at the GSP Carnival 2026, saw students transform Gobar Times covers into powerful musical and storytelling performances. The winning team from Cambridge School, Indirapuram—Kabeer Dey, Shobhit Vashisth, Sneh Anand and Vaghisha Bisht—chose A River’s Tale, presenting a moving skit with personified rivers and mythological figures to highlight the fragile state of our water bodies.

Second place went to Little Flowers Public Senior Secondary School, whose team used Wings of Wonder to spotlight pollution, deforestation and their impact on bird populations. Together, the performances blended creativity, music and environmental awareness with striking impact.

Games and activities featured a range of interactive, engaging, and educational initiatives designed to promote environmental awareness.

Trash to TreasureStalls by students and teachers from Government High School, Khargat, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, and Bluebells School International, New Delhi, showcased upcycled and repurposed creations made from waste materials. These highlighted practical ideas of sustainability and circular thinking.

Mobile Quiz PatrolCSE volunteers moved across the venue, engaging participants with quick climate-related questions, making learning lively and spontaneous.

Dart ‘N’ Discover: A magnetic dartboard featured questions inside color-coded sections—Yellow, Green, and Purple—representing different difficulty levels and scores, blending fun with environmental knowledge.

Roll, Pick and Win: Participants rolled a die featuring food categories—legumes, spices, oilseeds, dry fruits, grains, and vegetables—and identified hidden items from a given set. The activity promoted awareness about food diversity through interactive learning.
