Students celebrated creativity with purpose, reminding us that young voices can indeed create powerful environmental change

One of the highlights of the GSP Carnival 2026 was the musical and storytelling challenge, Echoes of Change, where children didn’t just speak about the environment, they sang, narrated and embodied it.

Students chose a Gobar Times cover and developed an original act—be it a skit, musical composition, or poem—that echoed the urgency of environmental conservation. The performances stood out for their depth of thought, innovative storytelling and seamless integration of music, making the event both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Taking the first place was Cambridge School, Indirapuram. The four-member team—Kabeer Dey, Shobhit Vashisth, Sneh Anand and Vaghisha Bisht—chose “A River’s Tale” and transformed it into a compelling theatrical experience.

Rivers spoke, humans listened, and mythological figures like Yamraj and Chitragupta stepped in as witnesses to environmental neglect. Their performance explored the fragile condition of river ecosystems and the cascading impact of pollution on Earth’s balance. The live music—played on the duff, ukulele and pellet drum— added rhythm and energy, keeping the audience engaged and connected to the cause of water and earth conservation.

Second place went to Little Flowers Public Senior Secondary School, whose team—Paavni Kushwaha, Vanshika Tiwari, Shaurya Maheswari and Rohaan Kohli—performed on the GT cover “Wings of Wonder”. Their skit shed light on pollution, deforestation and the alarming decline in bird populations from our skies. The addition of the zembé as a musical element enhanced the impact of their performance.

A special mention must be made of Aditya Raj Gogna from Prudence School, whose solo performance of “Ped Bachaao Re Bhaiya” stood out for its sincerity and musicality. His melodious act was thoroughly enjoyed by judges and audience alike.
